New Cherokee Distribution Site

Project Description

Southern Geotechnical Consultants, LLC (SGC) provided geotechnical engineering services in association with a new distribution facility for Cherokee Distribution at a 9.96-acre site in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As part of this project, we performed a geotechnical exploration of the previously developed concrete mix plant site for a new 73,000 square foot distribution facility. As part of the geotechnical design services, soil test borings and applicable laboratory analysis were performed at the site to help assess the nature of the subsurface materials and provide soil design parameters and site grading recommendations needed for further site development. Additionally, we performed infiltration/percolation testing of the onsite soils to help with storm drainage design.
