Huber Manufacturing Plant Addition

Project Description

Southern Geotechnical Consultants, LLC (SGC) provided geotechnical engineering services in association with a new dryer foundation at the Huber Plant in Spring City, Tennessee. This facility manufactures specialty building products such as AdvanTech® flooring, sheathing and rim board. As part of this project, we performed a geotechnical exploration for a new wood products dryer within the plant interior. As part of the geotechnical design services, soil test borings and applicable laboratory analysis were performed at the site to help assess the nature of the subsurface materials and soil design parameter and site grading recommendations needed for foundation installation.
