Southern Geotechnical Consultants, LLC (SGC) provided Phase II Environmental Assessment services in association with the release of a process compound in the plant interior that subsequently leaked onto the grounds at the Bridgeport facility. This facility is used to extruded nylon, polyester and polypropylene fibers and provided heat set and cabling for fibers used in the manufacturing of carpet. As part of our services, we initially performed environmental soil sampling to help establish limits of impact and to help direct clean-up operations. At the completion of the clean-up, we again established a sampling criterion to help confirm effective cleanup measures had been performed.
